Rowlagh Primary Care Centre

€ 10,000,000

Brief Description of Project

The Health Service Executive (HSE) are proposing the development of a new Primary Health Care Centre (PCC) and Multi-functional building at a site adjacent to Collinstown Park Community School.
The proposed building is a two storey building around an open courtyard with a main atrium void near the entrance. The structure is L- shaped and comprises a reinforced concrete frame with flat slab floors to eliminate downstand beams to facilitate the routing of services within the ceiling zone. The roof structure design is the same as the first floor with a large green roof area provided to limit the surface water flow from the building. A large plant louvered type enclosure is also provided for M&E plant and solar panels. The form of the adjoining multi-functional building is different from the PCC and it is proposed to provide a lightweight insulated metal deck roof supported on large span steel beams to maintain flexibility for future use in this building. The walls will be of masonry construction with steel columns supporting the roof structure. Sustainable Urban Drainage Measures as part of this development include, permeable paving, an extensive green roof, off-line retention ponds, oversized below ground pipework, hydrobrake flow controls and a petrol interceptor.

The development will also be serviced with 85 carparking spaces and bicycle parking for 20 spaces
